Featured on our cover this issue is a new initiative from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office called Project Be Safe, which aims to teach second graders about ways to stay safe out on the roads and sidewalks. The project kicked off recently with a program at H.L. Johnson Elementary School.
Also featured is Royal Palm Beach Mayor Jeff Hmara, who recently won an important award from the Florida League of Cities. Meanwhile, a deep love for the sport of soccer does not wane with age, as shown by a group of older players with the Last Dream Soccer Club, featured this issue, who meet regularly here in Royal Palm Beach to play the world’s most popular global sport. Nothing says “summer has arrived” quite like a Fourth of July celebration, and the village has an exciting lineup of events planned for Saturday, July 4, which we preview in this edition.
Our new cultural series continues this issue with a look at the summer exhibitions on display at the venerable Norton Museum of Art, which recently celebrated its 85th birthday. Finally, Royal Palm Table visits the new Kura Revolving Sushi Bar, which is now open on State Road 7. If you love sushi and crave unique experiences, this is the place for you.
With graduation season upon us, we salute the Class of 2026 from Royal Palm Beach High School. We are excited to see where the future takes you. And when you get there, don’t forget all of your friends here at home.
